Who'd've thunk that this cutie-patoot would grow into the silver-haired, grumpy detective inspector that we all know and love?
Yes, so I finally watched Endeavour.
That's it! All 29 faces done... just in time for he next 29 faces... A fast drawer I am not. So here's the last one... A pencil on paper one! I know... I can barely contain myself either ;-) wip, but posting it all the same. I was given some Palomina Blackwing pencils and thought I'd try them out. They're nice to use, but I would have preferred them a bit darker.
David Bowie may not have believed in angels, but he always managed to appear otherworldly. Like some kind of celestial being who just happened to have stopped by on Earth for a while.
Just thought I'd post the little bit of progress I made with Tirion. It seems rather uncanny that the addition of tears to this coincided with the passing of the amazing David Bowie. And now, today, we've lost Alan Rickman... 2016 is having a rather shitty start I must say. Just let it all out Tirion... I don't blame you for weeping.
Just keepin' on chippin' away at it :-) I'm a bit poorly at the moment so it's slow going. Added more detail to the face and beginning to work on the clothing now.
The first painting of 2016.
I couldn't decide what Star Wars character to paint this evening, so while I was procrastinating I painted one of my elves instead... Lord Tirion of Awel Glyn. As always based on the magically enchanting Mansai Nomura.
Happy New Year Everyone!
