Makes me wanna shout...

... in sheer frustration. At least my blog is aptly named. This weekend was a bit shitty... for various reasons. I did manage to start a another painting of Thomas Earl. I still don't understand nipples.

And then I decided to make this. Not sure how he came about, but I've called him Ausubel. That makes 24 faces. And now I need to go to sleep.

Ausubel
G'night ya'll.

Earl in a blanket

Thomas Earl
Spent a bit of time today finishing face number 22 of the earl. I decided to remove his shirt, and then wished I hadn't because I just don't understand nipples.
For some reason the look on his face makes me think of the chorus line from the Al Green song 'Here I am' - 'Here I am, babe, come and take me.'
Somebody open the window and let some air in ;-)

Back in blue...

Thomas Earl - wip
So... all has been quiet this week on the painting front. Reason being I spent the week abroad, visiting animation studio Fabrique D'Images in Luxembourg. It was a fantastic trip. I could have easily stayed longer :-) Only downside... no painting. But now I'm back... so... onwards with the 29 faces. Work in progress of face number 22. Once again I was drawn to the lovely and adorable Thomas Earl.

He's not impressed...

Marshal Breed - wip
... So you might wanna consider your next move very carefully.
Face number 21. Work in progress of a moonlit, squinty, Zerbe inspired lawman. My eyes are so dry... I'm going to bed now.

Brian Blues

Brian
Face number 20. A return to the lovely Brian. I went on a trip to Oxford again today and my foot hurts. Not that that has any bearing on the painting.

It's a face...

Number 19. Another wip. Just trying to paint something, anything, without my eyes freaking out again. Inspired by the disturbingly perfect face of Lee Soo Hyuk. And that's where I leave it tonight.

Isao goes for haircuts...

Isao
It took me a few days to finish this one, because... to put in the words of Khan as he appeared for the first time in the episode Space Seed in Star Trek TOS... 'I grow fatigued.' I don't know why but I have been so very tired recently, I was going all cross eyed and nodding off on front of the computer while trying to squeeze some painting in in the evening. Probably some stupid bug trying to get to me, everyone at uni seems to be coughing and spluttering and generally looking worse for wear at the moment.
Anyhoo, I decided to get his hair out of his face. I also decided to not give him eye lashes, it just worked better somehow. So there we are face number 16. Man, at this rate I'll still be going come Christmas.

Big shiny eyes...

Isao - wip
Too much to do today... too little time to paint faces. So, just a wip tonight. Not sure where he came from... but I decided to call him Isao after my favourite Japanese athlete Isao Yoneda, even though this fella looks nothing like him. Enjoy :-)

Facing up to the 29 faces

Thomas Earl
Well, February may be over, and with that the 29 faces challenge. Due to a late start and a keeled over computer in the middle I have fallen somewhat behind and so far only managed 15 on the 29 faces... So, I'm going to keep going! I will make 29 faces! Oh yes, it shall be so.
Here's face number 15, finally finished. The pout-tastic Thomas Earl.
If anyone has any suggestions for the last 14 faces, do let me know.
